Capacitive thin-film sensor
Low hysteresis
H6100: suitable for aggressive ambient conditions thanks to additional coating
The functionality of a capacitive sensor for relative humidity is based on the hygroscopic characteristics of its polymer.
This functions like a dielectric in a capacitor. The polymer is in balance with its humid environment and rapidly changes the value of its dielectric constant according to the ambient humidity. This process is reversible.
