The PT100MF0MPx series, from Sharp, is a family of surface mount (SMD) phototransistors. They come in top view and side looking packages with an opaque resin lens. This black lens enables the PT100MF0MPx to offer a daylight filter for ambient visible light. As a domed lens it also offers a narrow acceptance angle. The PT100MF0MPx has a compact package which makes it ideal for applications where space is limited, for example office/factory automation equipment, audio/visual equipment, household appliances, telecommunications, measuring equipment and touch panels.
